    Lion Mountain Trailhead of the Whitefish Trail System. Runners and their fans are STRONGLY encouraged to take the shuttle to the start, as parking will be nonexistent!

  • Distance

    This is a full marathon – 26.2 miles
    Because of the rugged trail portion, we have been unable to have the course certified. However, we’ve measured the course with bicycle odometers and on foot with a GPS more times than we care to count. It’s 26.2 miles. Trust us!

  • Limited Field

    The Two Bear Marathon is limited to the first 200 runners who enter (sorry, no walkers); runners must be 16 years of age or older, in good health, and well-trained. The Two Bear Marathon is a challenging course with a cut-off time of 5.5 hours. YOU MUST FINISH THE MARATHON IN 5.5 HOURS OR LESS TO BE CONSIDERED AN OFFICIAL FINISHER. ALL RUNNERS MUST BE OFF THE COURSE BY 1:00 P.M.

    $75 to $110 depending on entry date

  • Late Entry Fee

    After Sept. 1st additional cost of $25

  • Charity

    The Two Bear Marathon is hosted by The Wave and is supported by its many sponsors. One hundred percent of race entry fees will be donated to The Wave Scholarship Fund

  • THE COURSE

    This is a point to point course. The 1st 15 miles are on the Whitefish Trail system and jeep trails through Stillwater State Forest land. The remainder of the course is on pavement.

  • AID STATIONS

    Water and Hammer Nutrition Heed sports drink approximately every 2 miles; Hammer Gel and orange slices available at selected aid stations along the course.   • AWARDS

    Ceremony to begin at approximately noon at The Wave

    • Top Female and Top Male overall
    • Other Awards presented 3 deep for both genders in 10-year age divisions

  • POST RACE CELEBRATION AT THE WAVE IS DONATED BY PIGGYBACK BARBECUE AND IS FREE TO RUNNER AND $5 FOR FRIENDS AND FAMILY.
  • PACKET PICK-UP

    Reminder: Race packets are to be picked up at packet pick up on Saturday at the Wave Aquatic & Fitness Center from Noon to 4pm. Participants that do not check in at Packet Pick Up on Saturday will not be guaranteed race swag or official race shirts. We try to accommodate check ins at the start , however, do not recommend it.
